Protect your water quality with testing data
In the wake of the recent devastating wildfires many of our customers have tested their water for potential contamination. We are sharing highlights of our independent findings to help you make informed decisions about treatment options to maintain your water quality.
What We Found
Our initial test results are largely encouraging, but some areas of concern remain. The importance of water purification for drinking and cooking water is reinforced by our recent testing:
✔️ Good News:
Tests show that contamination levels for fluoride, nitrates, disinfection byproducts (THMs), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are below the EPA’s maximum contamination limits (MCL).
⚠️ Concerns:
Some samples indicate an increase in PFAS chemicals (aka “forever chemicals”). Radon and styrene have been detected during testing.
❌ Challenges:
Local area water hardness and chlorine levels remain high in the Los Angeles vicinity. Tested samples contain fluoride, nitrates, and several PFAS compounds. Ongoing infrastructure challenges within the local water districts mean that contamination levels could change at any time.
How to Protect Your Water
To ensure your home has clean, high-quality water, we recommend:
💧 Whole-house Carbon Filtration
Removes chlorine, VOCs, and other organic contaminants.
💧 Water Softening
Protects against hard water and scale issues on surfaces, appliances, plumbing fixtures etc.
💧 Reverse Osmosis Purification
Provides the purest drinking water using advanced membrane technology to remove most PFAS, fluoride, nitrates, and other hazardous contaminants.
🔧 Maintain Existing Treatment Equipment
Regular maintenance ensures your water treatment system is working effectively.
